Our Story

Lumi-Lému is above all a spark.

A dream that journeyed through life's paths, travels, and necessary detours. A persistent and luminous vision, which matured slowly and knew how to wait for its time.

The name Lumi-Lému carries this story.

Lumi evokes light: that which guides, inspires, and illuminates the way.
Lému echoes the lemur, an iconic animal of Madagascar, symbolizing origins, uniqueness, and that instinctive part we keep within ourselves.

Born between Madagascar and France, between roots and a yearning for elsewhere, Lumi-Lému embodies a dual presence: valuing where we come from, while giving form to what we become.

Raffia became an obvious choice. Natural, sunny, vibrant, it connects the brand to Madagascar, to artisanal craftsmanship, and to the love of know-how.

Each piece is designed as an elegant and timeless accessory, carrying a fragment of history. A creation chosen with intention, for its material, its line, and its soul.

Our Vision

Lumi-Lému weaves itself with time, to the rhythm of the material, the gestures, and the pieces that take shape.

We have chosen to unveil our collections gradually, respecting artisanal work and the time inherent in each creation. Each piece bears the mark of the hand that shaped it: its nuances and slight variations are part of its character.

Some models are thus presented as a preview before they go on sale. When they become available, they are offered in small quantities and, depending on the collections, can be reserved in advance.

This approach allows us to produce with greater accuracy, limit unnecessary stock, and prioritize models designed to accompany daily life beyond the seasons.

We also want to give everyone time to discover a piece, to envision it, and to choose it without haste. A purchase can stem from a crush while remaining thoughtful, personal, and intentional. Lumi-Lému prefers to allow this freedom rather than create artificial urgency around its pieces.

In Madagascar, our creations take shape through the work of women whose gestures and expertise bring each model to life. Lumi-Lému values this work, supports their autonomy, and accompanies their desire to advance and open up new perspectives.

As the brand grows, this vision may also lead to initiatives for younger generations, creating links between Madagascar and France. These will be presented once their projects are sufficiently defined.
